Models are pointing to a very dynamic system moving onto the plains on Monday. Shear looks great but lack of moisture, instability, and fast storm motions leave me questioning whether to chase, however. Typical dilemma with an early spring system. Low-topped supercells with hail and high winds are likely. The SPC has an area outlined in their Day 6 outlook including parts of Iowa, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas and mentions the possiblity of a fairly widespread severe event.
